FIFA Club World Cup Final 2023

England’s Manchester City will play Brazil’s Fluminense FC in the FIFA Club World Cup 2023 Final at the King Abdullah Sports city stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday 22th Dec 2023.

Manchester City beat Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds 3-0, goals from Mateo Kovacic and Bernardo Silva and an own goal.

Fluminense beat African champions Al Ahly of Egypt 2-0, goals from Jhon Aria and John Kennedy.

A 13th Europe vs South America Final is the 19th and last edition of the Club World Cup tournament. A major over-haul in the time for the next edition, from June 2025, 32-team, month-long tournament with 12 European teams and six from South America.

Fluminense’s is coached by Fernando Diniz and Manchester City’s coach is Pep Guardiola.

If Manchester City win, they’ll become the fourth English team, following Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea and the first to triumph in their debut appearance.

Fluminense concluded the 2023 Brasileiro serie a season ranking seventh, having also exited the Copa do Brasil at the last-16 stage to rivals Flamengo.

The current champion’s are Spain’s Real Madrid after they beat Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal 5-3 in February 2023 in Morocco.
